General Description
The Plaza hotel and Casino is at the west end
of Fremont street in downtown Las Vegas and anchors what has become known as
the Las Vegas Fremont Experience. The Plaza hotel and Casino and the Golden
Nugget are the two best hotels downtown and you can enjoy all there is to offer
downtown with the Fremont Street light show as well as the usual shows and
casino games. We have not visited the Plaza Hotel in several years.

This hotel and casino complex has been awarded a rating of 7.10 out of a maximum of 10.
The Plaza hotel and Casino has just over 1000 rooms, a casino with approximately 1600 slots including nickel and penny slots. There is also a poker room and a 118 seat race and sports book. There are 6 restaurants and a couple of snack bars. Tourists can probably find the best value by staying downtown both for rooms and for dining.
There is a 30 by 50 foot pool, health club, several shops and of course the Fremont Experience to enjoy in the evenings. Fremont street does not have street lights. The street is lit by all of the neon advertising that adorns the front of the casinos. At night they shut all of these lights off and visitors are treat to a music and light show on the covered roof of Fremont street for six city blocks. It is a must see while you are in Las Vegas in addition to staying at the Plaza hotel and Casinol.
