General Description
The
above picture is the Aquarious Hotel and Casino.
This is the old Flamingo Hotel, which was sold and and then upgraded by the new
owners. We had the opportunity to stay there in 2009
and were very pleasantly surprised by the upgrades
and re-modelling that had been recently completed.
Casino room rates at the time were $29 / night. The
casino was bright and there were lots of slot machines
to try. We intend on going back to this hotel. More

The
Aquarious Hotel and Casino
is also along the Colorado river and you can stroll
along the river to other hotels as well as take water
taxis from one to the other. There is a parking garage
to keep your car out of the sun and a great buffet
were you can watch the river and stollers. The only
exception is Harrahs. You have to take a water taxi
or go by car to get to this Casino.

If you are just passing through the Aquarious Hotel and Casino, you will want to take a moment to see the following areas of the hotel.

- Excellent Buffet overlooking the Colorado

- Restaurants include: Alta Villa, Beef Barron, Aquarious Diner, Paradise Garden Buffet, Cappuccino Corner and fast food chains
What We Liked
These are some of the items or areas that we liked about the Aquarious Hotel and Casino.
- Access to the Water Taxi to all hotels, except
Harrahs and the Ramada

- Walking long the River Walk behind the Aquarious Hotel and Casino by the Colorado River
- Ample Parking
- Prices at the buffet were very reasonable, lunch and dinner prices include wine and beer
- Slot club members receive $2 off on their
meals at the Buffet and some of the meals at
other restaurants
- Service is fast at the slot machines for money exchange and payouts
- Virtually all rooms have a great view with floor to ceiling glass windows
- Rooms have been upgraded and improved
What We Don't Like
These are some of the items or areas that we did not like about the Aquarious hotel and casino.
- No shade in the pool area which is located on the 3rd floor between the two towers
- The casino smells of stale cigarette smoke
and there is really no where to get away from
it.
- Many of the rooms also smell of smoke or
air freshener
