Las Vegas is very market oriented. When the hotel fills up, as in a large convention, the rates go up. Sometimes you can find rates as low as $79 during an off week, and the following week they will be over $500 for a the same room for one night. It is always a good idea to book early and to shop around a bit to find reasonable rates. Small conventions may fill up one hotel causing the rates to rise and the next one is empty! So if you are attending the Las Vegas Scrapbook Convention, book your hotel rooms early.

Large conventions such as the Las Vegas Scrapbook Convention will also have special transportation arrangements. When there is a big one such as the NAB held at the convention center and the Sands Expo, special buses are put on to take convention goers to and from the hotels. You can also take advantage of the new monorail that runs from many of the hotels to the rear of the Sands Expo. Above all don't forget to have fun as well in Las Vegas while you attend the convention.
