Las Vegas Convention March

The Las Vegas convention March 2009 schedule is usually quite full with many conferences and conventions being held in the month of March. If March, 2009 is any indication, 2010 will be even busier. March 2009 schedules showed that there were at least 84 conferences or conventions held in Las Vegas at various convention facilities around the city. They range in size from the very large to the very small. For example, Alvin & Company's conference was held at the New Frontier Hotel & casino and attracted a total of 50 registered people attending the conference. It was a 2 day conference at the end of March 2005.

The largest convention held in March of 2009 was the Conexpo held at the Las Vegas convention center, with over 135,000 people attending. The Conexpo conference was held from Mar 15th to Mar 19th and almost every hotel room was taken. Las Vegas convention March is a busy time in Las Vegas so it is important to be organized and book early for your flights and hotel rooms to avoid expensive rooms and long walks to the convention. Registration for the convention you are attending can be done anytime, although it is better to register early to avoid the last minute rush and usually there are discounts available for early registrations. In addition you do not need to stand in such long lines if you have completed all of your registration ahead of time and received everything in the mail.

The weather in March can be variable and a bit cool if you are planning to attend a Las Vegas convention in March. Sometimes you will have really hot sunny days with beautiful blue sky, while others Las Vegas will even receive rain. The winds sometimes pick up as well, however most days will be hot and lots of sunshine. Temperatures in the evening are usually quite comfortable, although most people may need a jacket in the evening.

Some hotels that are not busy in a particular week when some of the smaller conventions are in town may offer great rates for their rooms. If you are prepared to walk a bit further or take a taxi you can sometimes save a lot on the price of your room. The next largest convention held in March is the Associated Surplus Dealers and Associated Merchandise Dealers with approximately 52,000 people attending from Feb 27th to Mar 3rd . If you are planning to go as a tourist, check the schedules for conventions and try to avoid the busier weeks in order to find the deals.
