The Las Vegas Convention January 2006 schedule is among the businest in the year for conventions in Las Vegas. The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) or better known as the International CES Convention ( Consumers Electronics Convention) will be held in Las Vegas from January 5 - 8, 2006. The 2005 AVN Awards show was held on Saturday, January 8, 2006, at the Venetian Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Arrangements are still being made for the 2006 AVN convention to be held on Jan 7th, 2006 again at the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas Awards nominations for the show are being taken up to Sept 30th, 2005. The Concrete Convention in Las Vegas takes place from January 16 to the 20th, 2006 in Las Vegas. Exhibits run from January 17th to the 20th and both the World of Concrete convention and the Technology for Construction conference run at the same time.

The Consumer Electronics Show is the largest tradeshow in North America, and previous conventions had Bill Gates and Intel's Craig Barrett among its past keynote speakers at the CES Convention. The World of Concrete convention in January of 2006 has over 1.3 million square feet of exhibition space allocated for exhibitors, over 100 plus skill building seminars and conference sessions and over 1600 companies that will be exhibiting at this conference.

Special show packages are available for most conventions in January. Hotels fill up fast and rates for rooms go up quickly so you may want to make all of your reservations early. Some hotels that are not busy in a particular week when some of the smaller conventions are in town may offer great rates for their rooms. If you are prepared to walk a bit further or take a taxi you can sometimes save a lot on the price of your room.
