Tourists and convention goers attending conventions in Las Vegas often need maps to show them how to get to various locations. Most convention organizers will include a Las Vegas convention center map in the welcome kits for exhibitors and registrants at conventions. Usually they will provide a map of the convention area, however you are on your own regarding Las Vegas or the hotel you are in. Check with the concierge at your hotel to obtain a map of the hotel you are staying in and they often have maps of the Las Vegas Strip and the Las Vegas Fremont downtown experience in addition to a Las Vegas convention center map.

Visitors must plan for long lines waiting for taxis and heavy traffic especially for large conventions. Thirty to forty people is common and waiting times can be up to 30 to 40 minutes in some situations. Many people can walk to were they need to go in that time frame, however a Las Vegas convention center map is a must if you plan to get around Las Vegas efficiently.

There is public transit that is available. Buses run up and down the strip and there are shuttles that run between the strip and hotels that are located off the strip. Your hotel concierge can assist you with finding out the times and the locations of the stops for these hotel shuttles. There is also the new Las Vegas monorail which runs from the Las Vegas Convention center to the MGM Grand hotel and stops at a number of the hotels along the strip.
