Convention Las Vegas Construction

Convention Las Vegas Construction activity is booming like everything elese in las Vegas. The Sands Convention area and the Las Vegas Convention Center are the two largest convention facilities in Las Vegas, however every hotel also has extensive convention facilities and more are being added all of the time. Every time a new hotel is built there are more square feet added to the convention capabilities of Las Vegas. In fact, for some of the larger conventions, Las Vegas is really the only place that can accommodate these conventions. When you get over 100,000 people attending a convention and trade exhibition, you need a very large convention space and hotel rooms to house all of these people.

The Sands convention area is surrounded by more than 4,000 suites at The Venetian, with another 40,000 hotel rooms within a ten-minute walk of the complex to accommodate even the largest of trade show audiences. The Sands Expo offers an additional 1.2 million square feet of show floor and meeting space adjacent to The Venetian Congress Center. A personal Event Service Manager will assist you every step of the way.

The Las Vegas Convention Center is one of the most modern and functional facilities in the world - a 3.2 million square foot facility located within a short distance of more than 100,000 guest rooms. Operated by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), the center is well known among industry professionals for its versatility. There is also a grand lobby and registration area (more than 225,000 square feet) efficiently link existing exhibit halls with new exhibit and meeting rooms, and allowing simultaneous set-up, break-down and exhibiting of multiple events. There is more convention sapce being added every month with the amount of Convention Las Vegas Construction taking place in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas is very market oriented. When the hotel fills up, as in a large convention, the rates go up. Sometimes you can find rates as low as $79 during an off week, and the following week they will be over $500 for a the same room for one night. It is always a good idea to book early and to shop around a bit to find reasonable rates. Small conventions may fill up one hotel causing the rates to rise and the next one is empty!

Large conventions will also have special transportation arrangements. When there is a big one such as the NAB held at the convention center and the Sands Expo, special buses are put on to take convention goers to and from the hotels. You can also take advantage of the new monorail that runs from many of the hotels to the rear of the Sands Expo. Above all don't forget to have fun as well in Las Vegas while you attend the convention.
