Casino Roulette

Casino roulette is an exciting game to watch as well as play. Many times we have seen as many as 10 people crowded around one of the roulette games madly placing chips on many combinations of numbers, so much so that the table is practically covered in casino chips. While the game may look confusing and wild at times it is actually a very straightforward casino game to play. Players will develop various strategies for playing the game and will watch the history board to see what numbers have been coming up in the past few sessions, whether they are black or red and odd or even.

A short explanation of the game and how it is played is warranted here so that new players and even seasoned players can refresh their memories of the rules. Basically there are 36 numbers on the board. There are also a “0” and a”00” if you are playing American roulette and only a “0” if you are playing European roulette. The additional “00” increases the odds for the house. Players can place their bets on any of the numbers, on any combination of numbers such as rows or columns, and also on odd or even numbers or black and red numbers. Bets on individual numbers pay 35 to one odds, while odd or even and black or red pay 2 to one odds.

Roulette players have many different strategies when they play roulette. These strategies vary from only playing their favorite numbers to playing a combination of single numbers and then playing an additional bet of odd or even to cover themselves. As with most casino games, the roulette table is designed to be in favor of the house, however they are fun to play and large amounts of money has been won at the casino roulette tables.

The roulette host will call for bets and when most betting has been completed, he or she will start the ball circling around the inside of the roulette wheel. Before the ball drops he will wave his hand across the table to indicate that no more betting is allowed and then everyone eagerly waits for the ball to drop and see which number will win. All bets are removed from the table except for the winning number and combinations that go with it. Once the host has paid all winning bets, a new betting round can begin.
