General Description
The Morongo Casino Resort is located at the entrance to the valley of Palm Springs, California. This is were I10 crosses the pass from LA into the valley. As a result there are high winds almost all of the time making outdoors activities a bit unpleasant. The temperature can also be 10 degrees cooler as well. This casino is located next door to a discount shopping outlet mall with over 200 stores. This is a great place to shop!
The parking lot is large however it was confusing to find
our way around and locate the closest spot to the casino and the hotel. Then
it was an uphill walk in the wind to the casino. Patrons may want to consider
using the vallet parking service that is available.
The Morongo Casino Resort is nice and the casino is brand new with many new slot machines. There are also many tables as well to gamble at. The hotel spa has a fitness cenre, pool, two tiered spa and a lazy river to enjoy. There are four restaurants for your dining pleasure and the hotel is brand new. Like all hotel casino resorts you must walk through the casino to get to the elevators to your room. We found the prices posted for the rooms to be on the expensive side considering the location and the lack of surrounding activities.
The Morongo Casino Resort really has almost everything that you would want in a hotel with gaming, conference facilities, pool, and resaurants, however its grey dark decoration and location did not appeal to the writer.
This hotel and casino complex has been awarded a rating of 5.95 out of a maximum
of 10.

- Wine was not great served at the slot machines
- Slow service
