The following is an excerpt from a letter received from the Beau Rivage resort and casino in Biloxi, dated Nov , 2005.

Dear Sir

The devastation caused by hurricane Katrina has affected each and everyone of us, unfortunately, some more than others. Although Beau Rivage suffered major damage, were lucky considering those who have lost everything. At this time, just about it every employee has been safely located and all of us at Beau Rivage and our parent company at MGM Mirage are doing our best to help them through this tragedy.

We realize that overcoming this disaster is going to take more than just helping our employees and their families. It's going to take a deeper commitment to the entire gulf coast community. And MGM Mirage intends to play a leading role in revitalizing the local economy by rebuilding and rebuilding it quickly. We are also committed to rehiring employees when the resort opens so you can look forward to seeing those familiar faces that have probably served you over the years. Meanwhile, we are making every effort to match employees with open positions at other and MGM Mirage properties.

You will be pleased to know that we are already planning new ideas and enhancements for our reopening. Your favourite promotions such as free play and Pointe play will be back, better than ever thanks to new technology making them easier and more convenient to enjoy. I will be sure to keep in touch with you during the rebuilding process to update you on our progress building your new Beau Rivage.

I also wanted to let you know that you may receive information from our sister properties in Las Vegas as well as the Goldstrike Casino resort in Tunica, Mississippi. From tournaments and special events to entertainment and promotions, if you have the opportunity, be my guest and experience our other Casino resorts. No matter where you visit within the MGM Mirage family, you will receive the same level of quality and service you have come to expect at Beau Rivage.

Everyone at MGM Mirage and Beau Rivage stand committed to all our employees, and their families in the gulf coast community. It's going to take a lot of hard work and tremendous determination but we know that together, we will rise from this tragedy and return stronger than ever.
